There is no limit on unit purchases HOWEVER, purchases are reviewed every time the unit renews their card and the Provost Marshall has tools to monitor and detect suspicious activity with Unit Ration Cards. Once I out process ration control, does that me I can’t buy anything at the PX or commissary anymore?
NO! Your account does not close because you clear, all we are checking for is that and individual does not have any outstanding ration violations at the time you are out processing. Active duty military will still be able to use their CAC card to shop. For individuals and family members who have ration cards, these cards must be turned in at the time you or your sponsor clears however you can receive a temporary that will be good until you leave the ROK. Be aware that your purchases are still being tracked and the ration policy limits still do apply.
Why do we still have ration control here in the Republic of Korea?
Due to a long history of widespread black marketing, USFK has placed limits on certain duty-free goods most subject to abuse. The governing regulation is USFK 60-1 and it limits access to duty free goods sold at commissary and AAFES facilities to authorized patrons. This deters abuse of duty free privileges and is one of the ways we comply with US-ROK SOFA.
Is there a way to tell how many bottles of liquor/beer I've purchased?
Yes, you can check your alcohol, beer and commissary purchases 24 hours a day at https://pimsk.korea.army.mil Ration card holders can check using their serial number on the back of the card, last name and date of birth where military members must use their CAC card to log in. While on this site you can also check and make sure your family information is correct.
We just had a new baby; do I need to come to ration control?
No, you do not need to come to ration control. But it is very important that you have all of your family members entered in DBIDS, including those without ID cards, to ensure that your family size and ration limits are correct.Your family member is enrolled in DBIDS if they had their picture taken and finger prints scanned, DBIDS is not the same as DEERS.
My child is under 10 and therefore doesn’t have an ID, do I still register them in DBIDS?

My spouse is old enough to buy tobacco but his/her ration control card says she cannot. Can I get her a new card?
No, there is only one card issued to all dependents under the age of 21. Once your dependent turns 21 you may request an adult dependent card.
I am trying to out process but my spouse/dependant didn’t give me their ration card before they left country, what do I do?
There are two options: your spouse/dependant can mail you back the card or you can obtain an military police report for a lost card. Ration cards are controlled items and the ration control office cannot out process you without physically having your dependants’ cards so they can be destroyed or a MP report to keep on file.
