All command sponsored and non-command sponsored family members of U.S. military, Defense Department civilians and contractors are required to participate in the annual Noncombatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) exercise "Courageous Channel" May 17-19. Processing will be conducted May 17 from 5-10 p.m. and May 18-19 from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. at Camp Casey’s Hanson Fitness Center and the Camp Red Cloud Fitness Center in Area I. Families are required to bring all members, their NEO packet and their issued protective masks to their local Evacuation Control Centers for validation and processing. Prior to attending, noncombatants should ensure their packets have been inspected by their Company NEO Warden. The purpose of the exercise is to ensure all noncombatants are familiar with the process and prepared in case of an emergency. Contact your chain of command for more information.

  • Area I Girl Scouts

    Six of the 10 members of Area I’s newly-formed, first-ever Girl Scout troop, Troop 512 of the Girl Scouts of America Overseas, during a brief visit March 9 to the office of Col. Hank Dodge, commander, U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I. Dodge congratulated the girls on selling 3,800 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in Area I during a recent six week period.     Area I holds an award ceremony to recognize its outstanding volunteers at Camp Casey's Warrior Club April 2012. Volunteers were presented a certificate of appreciation as well as a gift for their participation.
  • Warrior Friendship Week 2012

    Apr 17, 2012 at Camp Casey, TKD smoker at Carey Fitness Center started at 0930. There were 52 participants , from 2nd Infantry Division, in 5 different weight categories Fly, Feather, Light, Middle, and Heavy. Both KATUSAs and U.S. soldiers were the participants. Participants were wearing gloves, helmet, body and leg protectors. Each preliminary game had 2 sets and it was 2 minutes per set and final games were 3 sets and 2 minutes per set.

    Children with the Camp Casey SKIES Unlimited after school program spent a week at the Community Activities Center's Arts and Crafts Center building models and ceramics. Their finished product were on display at the center the following week.
